Ericsson Application Awards 2012 winners to be announced May 22nd

On May 22nd, our friends at Ericsson will announce the winners of the Ericsson Application Awards 2012 at a prize ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden. Among the finalists are innovative apps within health care and social interaction. You’ll be able to follow the ceremony in a live webcast. Karl-Johan Dahlström, head of Developer Relations at Sony Mobile, will be one of the judges. Read more about Ericsson Application Awards after the jump!

The Ericsson Application Awards is a yearly, global competition that provides an opportunity for Android™ application developers to gain visibility and reach out to customers via Ericsson’s distribution channels. The competition is open to students and small companies, and is sponsored in cooperation with Sony. This year, the theme of the competition was “Apps for the Networked Society,” which focused on innovation connecting people, things and places to empower society.
