We are happy to announce that a firmware update for LiveView™ micro display is now available, as well as an updated version of LiveView™ application. The updated LiveView™ application is available on Android Market, and the firmware update of LiveView™ micro display is done using the Sony Ericsson Update Service software. I know many you have been waiting for this, and now it is here, the new SDK and developer tutorial for the LiveView™ micro display. With this SDK you can create LiveView micro display plug-ins to work as plug-ins of already existing applications, or as standalone applications, both with the purpose to feed information to the LiveView micro display.

Basically it’s a micro display with remote control functionality, enabling you to get notifications from your phone or to control certain functionality in your phone. For example, this way you don’t have to take out your phone every time you want to change the track in the music player, or to read the latest a text message.
