The Sony Developer Program will be a part of this year’s Big Android BBQ event in Hurst, Texas, from the 22nd to 23rd of October. Big Android BBQ, run by the non-profit IDEAA, is the world’s largest community-organized Android developer conference.
Did you attend Big Android BBQ in October? At the event, Oskar Anderö, Senior software architect at Sony, held a presentation about the Dynamic Android Sensor HAL (DASH). This is an open source GitHub project, that we made available earlier this year, which made us the the first manufacturer to release such a sensor framework. For all of you who missed the presentation at Big Android BBQ, or if you want to re-visit it, feel free to download Oskar’s DASH presentation.
If you’re hungry for some meaty developer sessions, then you might want to check out the Big Android BBQ. This preeminent mobile technology conference for Android developers and enthusiasts takes place in Hurst, Texas, USA, from October 19-21. We will be there running a number of interesting and useful speaker sessions, such as a session on how to work with a dynamic sensor HAL. You will also be able to visit our booth to check out our latest products, an opportunity to talk with some of our engineering experts, and maybe pitch us an app idea for a SmartWatch app extension.
