Last week we released the LiveKey™ and ConnectLaunch developer tools, and going forward we really hope to see some cool applications making use of the new smart functionalities in the LiveSound™ hi-fi headset and the LiveDock™ multimedia station. The code examples for both LiveKey™ and ConnectLaunch comes with extensive documentation, and we really hope that you will find it valuable. For your service, we have also created a LiveKey™ and ConnectLaunch developer thread on Google groups, where we will try to answer all of your LiveKey™ & ConnectLaunch developer related questions to the best of our efforts. Feel free to ask! We will try to come back with an answer as soon as possible.

It supports ANT+ wireless technology for connecting sport and fitness equipment, and it is classed as IP67, which means that it can be under 1 meter (3 feet) of water for 30 minutes. A truly unique feature of the Xperia™ active lies in its pressure sensor for barometric measuring. As a developer, you can use this sensor in applications, which can be accessed through the Android sensor API.

Yesterday, the winners of the Ericsson Application Awards were crowned. And the winners were the Italian team JustBit in the student category, and the UK based team HipSnip in the company category. Team JustBit’s winning Android™ application use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology and wireless connectivity to keep track of what groceries you have at home. This way the team tried to address not only an everyday problem that most people can relate to, but also a bigger issue with domestic food waste.
Company category winners team HipSnip presented a well structured and thought through idea and application regarding personal shopping. Check out the Ericsson and the Ericsson Application Awards website to learn more about the winning teams and the competition.

Today Sony Ericsson is announcing two new smart accessories: the LiveSound™ hi-fi headset and the LiveDock™ multimedia station. These phone accessories are designed to extend and enhance your phone experience in new innovative ways. The LiveSound™ hi-fi headset is also the first headset to support the new LiveKey™ feature, which is a button on the headset to get direct access to phone functions or applications.
In a press conference in Singapore today, Sony Ericsson introduced the addition of three new, exciting phones to its portfolio – the Xperia™ ray, Xperia™ active and the Sony Ericsson txt. Xperia™ ray and Xperia™ active are the newest members of the Xperia family of smartphones. The Sony Ericsson txt is an entertaining messaging phone.

A big thank you goes out to all the developers at E3 who stopped by the Sony Ericsson booth to talk to the Developer World team.
