The Xperia™ X10 now available in the U.S. market

The greatly anticipated Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10 is now available to U.S. customers, as you might have seen in the announcement from AT&T and Sony Ericsson.  This surely is welcome news if you’re in the U.S. and keen to get your hands on the Xperia™ X10. What’s especially interesting with AT&T’s offer is the price – $149.99 on a two contract and minimum data plan. Sounds like a fair deal, right?

For developers, Sony Ericsson has put together an add-on for the Android™ SDK, including the splash screen, backgrounds, an Xperia™ X10 skin and some other stuff.

Stay away until you have cast iron assurance from SE that they will

“get rid of their crappy propiroty SW (Timescape/Mediascape) as there are better apps that do the same funtion on market for free”

“a commitment that they will unlock the bootloader”

“give us STOCK 2.1 or 2.2 android now and stop waisting your customers time by trying to foust a locked down OS on us”

“give us basicly everything they promised but have now swept under the carpet”

I have this phone and I would fully recommend that you avoid until all these conditions are met.

Stay away from this phone, screen still on 16K colours after the “update” which is a year late and Customer service is pathetic.

If you cannot promise an update to 2.2 why waste your time in this garbage?
